Offical Eastern Paintball Leauge (EPL) Thread (VA)

What is the EPL? The Eastern Paintball League is an organization that promotes and governs paintball tournaments in Virginia and North Carolina.

We have developed a rules book for the series. Each team will be given a copy of the rule book when they register for the event. We have certified refs on the field at all times.


The 2009 EPL Spring Series is a tour of 5 events.

Teams are awarded points at each event depending on their placing. These points go towards their series ranking making an overall Series Champion at the end of the fall season.

There are 3 Divisions;

DIV 3 3-man Young Guns/Rookie

DIV 2 3-man Novice

DIV 1 5-man Open


3-man teams (Novice and Young Guns) receive paintball prizes at each event with the Novice Class winners currently walking away with over $2,000.00 in paintball Supplies at the EPL championship event.


Teams will come from all over the mid-Atlantic region to compete.

The series will be held at 4 locations this year. Master Blasters, Pirate Paintball, VB Splat Zone, and Ben Allen Memorial Park.

DIV 3 (Young Guns)

3-Man

oTeam Entry Fee per Event: $150.00 (Pre-registered) or 175.00 at the door
oAge Grouplayers who will not turn 16 years old before July 29th, 2007. (10 yrs-15 yrs)
OR

*Rookie Class: Players over the age of 15 with very little tournament experience (Very limited local tournament experience). The promoter/organizer reserves the right to classify players as a rookie player.
oLimitations: Maximum of 5 players per team.

DIV 2 (Novice)

3-Man


oTeam Entry Fee per Event: $200.00 (Pre-Registered) or 250.00 at the event
oAge Group: Rookie and Beginner class players who have participated in no more than 1 PSP (Div 3 or higher) or NPPL (Div 3 or higher) events within the past 2 years. (Aug 15 2005 – July 29th 2007)
oLimitations: Maximum of 5 players per team. (10yrs and up)



•DIV 1 (OPEN)

5-Man

oTeam Entry Fee per Event: $350.00 (Pre-registered) or 400.00 at the event.
oAge Group: The division is open to all players.
oLimitations: Maximum of 7 players per team. (10yrs and up)

I dont think we should i looked at this like 2 or 3 months ago

The events or so far away and it is expensive compared to pts and if we do go i dont think we should go 5-man we would get killed its an open I say we jus start with pts and focus on that for now

Well it would be pretty good practice to play against better teams. Wether you win or lose it dosent matter, it just matter hat you had fun and played hard.

i dont think that experience is the problem. but some of the tourneys are pretty far away like in nc and sc

and kinda expensive

We would only be going to the Events around us. Im not tryna drive that far, and as for the event prices they dont seem that high, isnt PTS like 50 a person....

no pts is like 25 a person and the closest event they had last season was like 3 hours away I really dont think we should do this

Lets just focus on pts it will save us money and time

this isn't that expensize i mean 150 divided by 8 = 18.75$

it is 150 for the 3 man and u can only bring 5 players to that so it is like $30 a person and since the closest event is like 3 hours away we should get a hotel wich will cost some money too so thats why i dont think we should do epl
